Check appointment availability by phone with an AI agent

Use Patch MCP when you want an AI agent to call a business and collect appointment options. For example, ask an auto repair shop about inspection slots. Checking availability and booking a slot are separate decisions: tell the agent which one you authorize.

Prepare the service and scheduling window

• The business and its actual phone number with country code.
• The service you need and any non-sensitive reference details.
• Full dates, acceptable times and the business's time zone.
• Whether the agent should collect options or make a booking.
• Your limits on prices, deposits and cancellation terms.

Ask for availability first

Call [business] at [actual phone number with country code].
I'm [name]. Ask for available [service] appointments between [full dates],
preferably between [times] in the business's local time. Get up to three
options, the quoted price, any deposit and the cancellation rules.
Do not book, change an existing appointment or agree to charges.
If they need details I have not supplied, ask what is missing and report back.

Do not include passwords, payment card details or one-time codes. If you later choose a slot, explicitly authorize a new booking request; availability may have changed.

Retrieve the options and decide

A fictional result might list Tuesday at 10 am and Thursday at 2 pm, with an inspection price and a request to confirm a vehicle model. Review unresolved questions and distinguish a quote from an agreed charge.

Read the answer, then check the details

Patch returns a call status and a structured result: a summary, key facts, commitments and follow-ups. Your AI can retrieve these with get_call. A completed call also has a transcript and, when available, a recording. The recording can take a little longer to finish processing.

A connection does not guarantee that someone answers or that the request succeeds. If the outcome is partial, unanswered or unsuccessful, review it before asking for another call. Your call history and live-listen link let you check what actually happened.

Connect through the ChatGPT guide or Claude guide. The agent should call estimate_call, then place_call, and retrieve the resolution using get_call. Calls may be unanswered or end without the requested information.
